Number 6
The Polar Bear
The polar bear is only found in the Arctic Ocean. Their main prey are ringed seals. They have a strange hunting technique- a polar bear will wait by a seal breathing hole for a seal to come up to breathe. When the seal breathes out and prepares to take a quick breath, the polar bear smells it, reaches into the water, and pulls it onto the ice. However, due to global warming, much of the polar ice is melting. This causes many polar bears to lose any land to stand on and they are drowning, causing polar bear populations to rapidly decrease.
