The Lion
The African lion is a vulnerable species, meaning that there is a threat of endangerment, or even extinction at some point. The lion population has decreased by approximately 30-50% . Lionesses do most of the hunting while the male stays back at the pride and sleeps through most of the day. It is the second- heaviest big cat, only to the tiger. The lion isn’t as dangerous to man as you think- lion attacks are simply so exaggerated that you think they are more dangerous than they really are. This is part of their downfall- so many people are scared of them that they hunt the lions down.
