Number 2
The Asian Cobra
Although it isn't the most venomous snake, it is responsible for killing the largest portion of the 50,000 people killed by snakebites every year. They are responsible for thousands of deaths in India alone each year. As the name suggests, the Asian cobra is found in central to eastern Asia. Within these areas they prefer living in grasslands, forests, and the savannah. They are also called spectacled cobras because of the markings on the back of their hood, which, by the way, is much larger than a king cobra’s.
